allow/recruit neighbors to paint yellow sidewalks where parking is prohibited

I live across from Buchanan Park. Here, and EVERYWHERE in the city, people park too close to the corner. The obstructed views from these parked cars have and will continue to lead to pedestrian, bicycle and auto accidents. Drivers are not aware of the distance from the corner where parking is prohibited (or know and ignore it). Painted curbs would help by being more obvious, I know my neighbor and I would be willing to do this ourselves, as I am sure people in other part of the city would.
