Electric scooters on sidewalks

In the last week I have barely escaped being smooshed by guys on scooters/skateboards speeding up the sidewalk. Walking out of my gate onto east Orange, I jumped out of the way of a scooter going (my estimate) 25 mph on the sidewalk. No brakes. He was closely followed by a second at the same speed. A few days later I was inches from a skate boarder rounding a corner at Orange and Duke. This is SO DANGEROUS to pedestrians, increased by the fact that they make little sound, and seems to be more and more prevalent.
