Free Public Concrete Skatepark
From "Reservoir Park Master Plan"

Lancaster City and it’s residents would benefit greatly from the addition of a free-to-use, public concrete skatepark. There is a well-established history of skateboarding in Lancaster County going back over four decades, and the scene continues to develop and grow.
The major deficit is in accessibility; Not all families or individuals have access to travel outside of the city to reach a skatepark. Kids of all ages and adults are in need of an open communal space to learn, practice and play skateboards within the city limits.
Yes, play. It can start as a fleeting hobby, become a passion, foster individuality, cultivate friendships, expand horizons and teach valuable life lessons. It can become your lifestyle or simply be something you enjoy casually. At the end of the day, it’s still playing with a wooden toy. That is the ultimate purpose of our public parks, to promote outdoor activity and play for everyone.
