GW parking & traffic issues

I don't know if this has been a thought or if this already occurs at the schools, but is there any thought to giving students who are picked up by a guardian priority leaving the school before walkers? Maybe offset the time for pick-up by 15 minutes, this could help reduce the traffic back-ups at the various intersections for crossing students and parents looking to move through the intersections. If this is already in place, disregard this comment. Otherwise, I wonder if lights versus 4-way stops would change how traffic flows around those times of day.
