Parking in buffer
From "Street Safety Concerns"
Go to the project
Cars regularly park in buffer along parking protected bike lanes, increasing risk of dooring. A physical delimiter (ex: flex posts) along the buffer may help prevent cars from encroaching too far.

The flex posts are easily broken. I have seen several areas around the town that they are already busted up or split. I wonder if a small raised bit of concrete would work there? Like a tiny curb.

@Jonathan Ober That is a concern, but flex posts are often used because they're cheap and easy to install. A curb, even if sloped, would probably be significantly more effective.
On the other side of the coin, I know there is often a hesitation to put anything in the buffer because that makes sweeping/plowing more difficult. I'm not sure how that factors into the treatment decisions here.

@Ethan Farrell I agree, both solutions could work. I have just seen more of those plastic posts discarded and broken which can be sharp and hazardous and cause injury.
