This project needs to be changed. Not safe for pedistrians and for bikes.

This project has some good ideas but removing the brick sidewalks for a paved mixed use path that has no exits for 2 blocks is not realistic. Not safe to have bikes and pedestrians on the same path. Old Town likes looking like a old part of the city like it is. The side walks are part of its identity. Plus winter maintenance on these projected side walks is an issue. Please redraft the plans with actual incite from people who live here. Thanks.

Brick sidewalks and roads are historically slicker for walkers, wheelchairs, and bicycles (not that they are as heavily used in the winter), but I Brick sidewalks and roads are historically slicker for walkers, wheelchairs, and bicycles (not that they are as heavily used in the winter), but I myself don't careBrick sidewalks and roads are historically slicker for walkers, wheelchairs, and bicycles (not that they are as heavily used in the winter), but I Brick sidewalks and roads are historically slicker for walkers, wheelchairs, and bicycles (not that they are as heavily used in the winter), but I myself don't car for brick sidewalks as they make gripping the street harder for many people. I have almost fallen several times (and I am 40) going down Orange St. near Musser park because of leaves or ice on brick sidewalks.
