Traffic on South Duke Street

The South Duke Mobility Project is much needed and it is great that the city is undertaking it. However, as a resident of the 100-block of South Duke I wish it could be extended to include our block between Church and Pine. We have a lot of minor accidents along the block as people try to switch lanes to get into the one that continues straight on Duke Street. We also have a huge noise problem. The number of cars with altered mufflers and motorcycles that accelerate along our block and the perpendicular one on Church Street makes sitting outside in the summer completely miserable. It also indicates that people are accelerating inappropriately along both stretches.

We moved to Lancaster 2 and a half years ago. We love it here but the traffic noise is a real deal breaker.
