Dauphin to Orange St.

Jonathan Ober•2 years ago I am not sure we need a two-lane bike lane, reducing the overall width of the road. The intersection at Broad an King, traveling South is already hard to make a left turn easily, now with the proposed design you are pushing the two lanes coming up the hill at an odd angle. I would start the two-lanes for bikes after that Stevens parking area. Also, since the intersection at King and Broad is being evaluated, can I propose an idea of having either a left turn green arrow from Broad going South to the turn on to E. King away? And an extended green arrow as well? With the two lanes coming up the hill it is sometimes difficult to turn and then the turn lane backs up, or you have people going on red, which endangers the left turn from 462/King St. to South Broad.

GW parking & traffic issues

Jonathan Ober•2 years ago I don't know if this has been a thought or if this already occurs at the schools, but is there any thought to giving students who are picked up by a guardian priority leaving the school before walkers? Maybe offset the time for pick-up by 15 minutes, this could help reduce the traffic back-ups at the various intersections for crossing students and parents looking to move through the intersections. If this is already in place, disregard this comment. Otherwise, I wonder if lights versus 4-way stops would change how traffic flows around those times of day.
