3 South East Parks Design: Ewell Gantz, Joe Jackson, South End
The City of Lancaster needs your help! We're redesigning 3 neighborhood parks in South East and South Side neighborhoods: Ewell Gantz Playground, Joe Jackson Tot Lot, and South End Park.
Joe Jackson and Ewell Gantz will be under construction in late summer and fall of 2026. View the plans for these parks in Phase 6, below.
South End Park planning is still underway - we're still accepting public feedback on this plan! Construction anticipated in 2028 or 2029. View the concept plans for South End Park in Phase 7, below.

FINAL PLANS for Joe Jackson & Ewell Gantz
During this phase, the public will have a chance to look at the final, engineered plans for Joe Jackson and Ewell Gantz. Scroll down to view the park plans and cross sections below. You can also download the attachments for higher-resolution images. You can leave comments online, or attend the public drop by to speak directly with staff: Wednesday, June 11 from 4-7pm at Ewell Gantz Playground at 444 S. Christian Street. (We'll move indoors to The Mix in the event of rain.)
