A Stronger Lancaster: Submit Your Ideas

This is your city. Share your ideas for how we can build a stronger Lancaster.

The "A Stronger Lancaster" project serves as an open forum for residents to add their ideas of how to build a stronger, more equitable Lancaster, block by block.

Select "submit your idea" to add your contribution. Share something about your neighborhood or the whole city.

This space is meant as a forward-looking forum to share ideas, concerns, and solutions. This is not the space for service requests or if you need direct assistance. For those requests, visit the contact us page on cityoflancasterpa.gov or call City Hall at (717) 291-4711.

It is our hope that these submissions along with other community feedback can spur new projects on Engage Lancaster, direct attention to unknown problems and solutions, or perhaps kickstart a city-wide community initiative. If responses point to issues outside of the jurisdiction of the City of Lancaster government, our team will work to share information with our nonprofit partners or other levels of government.

The City of Lancaster's Block by Block strategic plan centers on four main priorities:

Strong Neighborhoods

Lancaster’s diverse and vibrant neighborhoods are welcoming places that foster connections among our residents.

Safe Places

Lancaster has safe, walkable, and accessible places for all. Residents feel safe in their communities - the cornerstone of strong neighborhoods.

Sustainable Economy

The foundation of a strong community is a sustainable and equitable economy that works for all residents.

Sound Government

City government serves residents with humility, is accountable and accessible to all, responsive to their needs, and continually improving to make the City a more equitable community.
