Eastbound Connector Phase 2: Shippen to Riverside
Project Description
East Bound Connector Route: Phase 2 is part of the City Bicycle Network and the regional Lancaster Heritage Pathway trail network. This segment will run between existing bicycle infrastructure on Shippen Street and planned infrastructure at Riverside Avenue. It will also consider improvements to north-south connections to the McCaskey campus. The route will be designed to create a safe pathway and crossings for bicyclists, pedestrians, and other vulnerable road users. There are several potential routes the path could take, including segments of East Fulton Street, E. Chestnut Street, East Marion Street, E. Orange Street, and Alleys 122 & 123.

Phases
Public Engagement 1 - Ideas & Discussion
Which route do you prefer? During this phase, we'll gather feedback from the public about the proposed route options. What are the pros and cons of each route? How can we best improve safety? What else does the project team need to know about the current use of the proposed routes: parking, speeding, traffic, pedestrian & bicyclist usage, trucks, loading needs, etc.? Review the proposed routes and possible improvements below and attached, then take the survey to give feedback.
