August 16, 2024 - November 4, 2024

On November 5th Lancaster City voters will decide whether to adopt a Home Rule Charter for the City of Lancaster. The Sorace Administration is recommending Home Rule as a solution to help build a stronger, more equitable Lancaster. By adopting Home Rule, Lancaster could have more tools to control expenses and provide for other ways to raise revenues besides property taxes.

At this two-part session, you’ll hear from the Home Rule Study Commission about what is in the proposed Home Rule Charter, then you’ll hear from Mayor Sorace about what the Home Rule Charter means for taxation, city services, and more. Each of the five events will present the same information.
