McCaskey Campus Schools Safe Routes to School Assessment

This project is a Safe Routes to School Assessment for the area near McCaskey Campus Schools including J.P. McCaskey High School, McCaskey East, Lincoln Middle School, and Wickersham Elementary.

Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a national program that exists to promote safe walking and biking to school. There are many benefits to walking and biking to school for students and the broader community, including improvements to student mental and physical health, better air quality, and reduced traffic congestion near schools. This initiative is part of Lancaster’s larger Vision Zero program, which aims to eliminate traffic-related deaths and serious injuries in the city.
